Hi,everyone,I have a question that need your reply.
Before the mac core begin to work, I think it is necessary for me to know the phy status. So how can I know the phy status? which speed ,10M or 100M,and which duplex ,full or half-full, the phy is working on?
Someone says that the status can been got by reading the phy registers, but I still can't understand. For example , I'd like the phy to work at auto-negotiation mode, so I write the control data 16'h1000 to phy contrl reg, but how can I get the phy working status next step.
