PLASMA_CPU on Spartan 3A XC3S700A

Hi
I tried to implement Plasma_Cpu on the Spartan-3A FPGA Starter Kit XC3S700A. As is known Plsama_cpu was implemented on the Spartan 3E XC3S500E. I have performed the necessary modifications of code, while the implementation design, there is this error; MapLib: 30 - Loc constraint N11 on NF_A is invalid: No such site on the device. To bypass this error set the environment variable 'XIL_MAP_LOCWARN. I replaced the UCF constraints for the StrataFlash address pins, which correspond to the Intel StrataFlash Parallel NOR Flash (SF) Spartan 3E, with the UCF constraints for the Flash address pins Parallel NOR Flash PROM (NF)which correspond to the Spartan-3A FPGA Starter Kit XC3S700A. Is this the right way to implement Plasma_cpu on the Spartan-3A Starter Kit XC3S700A? |

The Xilinx Spartan 3A XCS700A document appears to be inconsistant:
http://www.xilinx.com/products/devkits/HW-SPAR3A-SK-UNI-G.htm On page 84 it indicates that function NF_A23 is at pin B21. But on page 87 it indicates: NET "NF_A" LOC = "N11". Note however, that since the flash part is only 32 Mbits that the upper four address lines aren't used. Thanks, Steve Rhoads |

Congratulations on getting the Plasma CPU to run on the XC3S700A!
What parts of the system do you have working? Serial Port? Bootldr? Test program count.c? SDRAM? Flash? Ethernet? RTOS? Have you tried to follow the instructions on the Tools tab? http://opencores.org/?do=project&who=plasma&page=tools Thanks, Steve Rhoads rhoadss@yahoo.com |

I have a problem with HyperTerminalom. When I connect Spartan 3A Starter Kit with my PC using a USB Kabal and RS232 DCE cable, the HypertTerminalu the demo design. The leaflet states that to delete the Flash memory used by E enter key PC. After pressing this button does not change. For example, when you want to delete Flash memory press E and nothing happening Pressing any key also is not nothing happening. please for help |
