AES128 core experiences???
by Unknown on Aug 23, 2006

Hello, I tried to use the AES128 core (aes_crypto_core) from Hemanth Satyanarayana and run into some strange behaviour. The encryption is working after I solved some mismatches between the documentation and the vhdl files. But the decryption is still delivering wrong values. Has anyone else used this core and wants to share some experiences ? ;-) Best Regards, otto -- Echte DSL-Flatrate dauerhaft für 0,- Euro*. Nur noch kurze Zeit! Hi Marcio,

no I didn't made any progress until now, I've no time to look for the cause.
The encryption is working, the decryption is NOT working.
Also my e-mail to the core writer Hemanth Satyanarayana was never answered ...

Regards,

otto

Hi Otto, I've been facing the same problem with this core, but not discovered what is causing it to decrypt wrongly. ave you made any progress? If you want, we can exchange some experiences. I am having similar problems. The encryption works, but the decryption does not. I have found a way for the AES to output the correct decryption by inputting the inverse key (the original key's state just before the completion of an encryption cycle) but I didnt know if this was what one was supposed to do to make it work. I made a post about this but it was never resolved. I also emailed Hemanth but have not received an answer. ----- Original Message ----- From: otto ottodamc4 at g...> To: Date: Fri Oct 20 16:49:25 CEST 2006 Subject: Subject: Re: [oc] AES128 core experiences???
