Simple description of the application I'm trying to achieve: unencrypted HDMI input and H.264 low latency encoder with MPEG-TS.
I was quoted 4k for a dev board with a H.264 encoder, that is in my opinion a bad way to waste money if I can buy 400 to 1600 hours of development time with it. Yes, 4k for a simple dev board. I just thought to pass by and ask if anyone was interested in it. If so, please contact me at my username @gmail.com. Thank you! |

What was this FPGA dev board you found?
Does is generate just H264 or can also generate TS? BTW, 4K might not be such a bad deal if the board comes with IP for generating TS. |

But there is no IP at all included in the dev board, no right whatsoever. I wouldn't have any idea about their licensing prices. What do you think would be the right netlist price for it if you have any idea about it? :) |

I would be interested in looking at this dev board.
Can you provide details or a link to it? As for costs and alternatives, I can't make any recommendations. I just think that it could be difficult finding a good developer at 4K over 400hours which equates to $10/hour. |
