If I feed the core two sine waves, 90 degrees out of phase from a DDS (an I/Q signal) I should expect to see a constant magnitude (radius) and a linearly changing phase angle on the output. This is not the generated output, however.

It would help if you would describe what code blocks you used and what the actual output is you're getting.
