Isn't this what somehow got at a certain point promoted under https://opencores.org/howto/wishbone ?

If you desire to keep this project also as a project, one could think of adding a new "block" on the project page: https://opencores.org/project/wishbone adding a short description of this initiative.

We can then flag it as "external" such that our system doesn't complain that the project doesn't have any file checked in in SVN.
