Introduction"></a> <h1>1. Introduction</h1> The original MSP430 from TI provides a serial debug interface to allow in-system software debugging. In that case, the communication with the host computer is typically built on a JTAG or Spy-Bi-Wire serial protocol. However, the global debug architecture from the MSP430 is unfortunately poorly documented on the web (and is also probably tightly linked with the internal core micro-architecture). <br><br>A custom module has therefore been implemented for the openMSP430.
