Dear Friends: I Downloaded Jpeg compressor from open cores...but i have some problem to simulate it with ISE Foundation 8.1i...I'd be thankful if anyone can help me. i want to know how to simulate core... finally I learned how to simulate the core...i added all file in the core in a project folder that i build it....then i select the Behaviroal Simulation...i choose compressor_tb.vhd and then Simulate Behavioral Model... it shows these messages: Running Fuse ... Parsing "compressor_tb_beh.prj": 67.16 then this error appear: ERROR:Simulator:170 - work/compressor/jpg is not compiled properly. Please recompile work/compressor/jpg in file "C:/Documents and Settings/yazdanbakhsh/Desktop/JPEG/compressor.vhd" without -incremental option. ERROR:Simulator:199 - Failed when handling dependencies for entity compressor_tb, architecture tb_architecture I think i do something wrong... i should tell u that i use Virtual PC to run windows XP while i use Vista in my laptop...is it possible that this error is for using Virtual PC? If you don't even know how to simulate cores I wouldn't recommend starting with a complex one like the jpeg is... Anyways if you are really interested and knowing that the error is: "ERROR:Simulator:170 - work/compressor/jpg is not compiled properly. Please recompile work/compressor/jpg in file "C:/Documents and Settings/yazdanbakhsh/Desktop/JPEG/compressor.vhd" without -incremental option." I would suggest: 1) READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON SIMULATION THAT ARE INCLUDED WITH THE SOURCE FILES!! (have you generated the DCT and memory cores with XilinxCoreLib? that's #1 mistake, sadly) 2) recompile compressor.vhd without the -incremental option :-P Everybody who has followed the directions given in the instructions contained in the source have been able to succesfully use the code, they are not that difficult... Hi i am using JPEG Hardware Compressor core: i have studied simulation steps provided by source file...fortunately i couldn't find DCT core in xilinx ISE 13.1 and also in Xilinx ISE 10.1 also .... Can any one please tell me which tool i should use and few steps to simulate the JPEG compressor core .. Thanks in advance !!!
