Hi!

Does anyone know wich version of ATA/ATAP OCIDEC-3 support? I can't
understand, because in atahost.vhd comments written: "ATA-3 rev7B
compliant", but in document sayed about ATA/ATAP-5.

Thank you!

It really is ATA/ATAPI-5, but the UDMA modes are not supported. -----Original Message----- From: cores-bounces at opencores.org [mailto:cores-bounces at opencores.org] On Behalf Of rff_tech at mail.ru Sent: 11 December 2008 14:01 To: cores at opencores.org Subject: [oc] OCIDEC-3. Thank you for answer. I have one more question. Is it difficult to improve for UDMA supporting? ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard Herveillerichard at h...> To: Date: Thu Dec 11 23:00:37 CET 2008 Subject: [oc] OCIDEC-3.

No, we did this for a customer a few years ago. IIRC we created another state machine for the UDMA modes, rather than try to shoehorn it into the existing DMA state machine. And last one question :). How did you simulate behaviour of HDD? Does
anyone have models for simulating HDD behaviour in VHDL?
If you have, could you share them to other?

Thank you!

Yes, my colleague wrote a model of an ATA device as part of a rather large testbench for the customer, and I extended it for UDMA support. Unfortunately I can't redistribute the code as we do not own the IP.
