Has anyone gotten his core to work?
Thanks,

Is it typical for designs on opencores.org to have deliberate bugs?
Here's a response I received from Maxim Vlasov on a couple of
problems I found
in his M-DVE ntsc/pal video encoder that's available on opencores.
I was surprised.

Dear Hill,
You are absolutely right. You have found one of the deliberately
made bugs in the version published on the internet. There are still
4 left. One in multipliers, one in burst generator, one in
quadrature mixer and finally one in overall datapath logic. More
over the NCO jitter is somewhat 30% above the standard, which is
fine for CIF resolution, however absolutely unacceptable for SDTV
quality. As I just mentioned, the code is not fully functional, but
just a working demo, which would give a clue about the principles
and the size of the commercial cores. I just returned back from the
business trip and had no chance to complete one page description of
M-DVE II and M-DVE III cores.
In a next few days I plan to send these papers to you.
Sincerely,
Maxim

Have a nice day

No news?
I'd like to try M-DVE encoder.
