Hi all. I am hoping to produce a SOC project using a FPGA as the center
of a general perpose hardware platform. The PCB and all hardware associated will become public property. The system will include 4 USB ports, a AC 97 based audio output, a SVGA and video output, a IDE ATAPI CD/HDD interface and a AC97 based modem. The one area I see a problem with is the AC97 based modem as I would like to produce the modem in the FPGA and only have a external AC 97 Codec. Does anyone know of such a modem? If not, how about that for a open core? The Modem would probably require a dedicated CPU and program, but might not. I was hoping someone would have more experience than I do in this regard.
