Hi All!
Can somebody clarify which is the license for the "AVR Core" project? (http://opencores.org/?do=project&who=avr_core) I'm sending a copy to Ruslan Lepetenok, but the last modifications to the project are old (2006 and made by other guy, 2003 is the last mdo by Ruslan) BTW, the license is a very important property of a project it should be listed in the "Other project properties" section and it can't be optional. In this case Ruslan says this is a "free" version, but this isn't enough. I heavily modified it and also added WISHBONE support, but I can't do anything with it (i.e. publish the changes in OpenCores) if the license isn't clear. Regards, SET |

the version at OC is FREE, pretty much no strings attached.
Ruslan has modified versions himself that are not free, but those are also not published. So I guess it is defenetly ok to make the modified versions of the free version available.. |

Hi,
We will shortly send out an email to all project-maintainers and ask them to update the project-page with license information and encourage them to add more FPGA utilization details. Regards, Marcus Erlandsson |
