Good evening...
I've started to document some synthesizing results which show
the LE usage and fMax in Altera devices ( http://www.fpga.ch/ip_results.php ).
Maybe some of you have also done some testing of other CPU IP cores
with Quartus? Or even can supply some results of commercial CPU cores
to be included?
thanx in advance

*VERY* interesting results. Good job!
For comparison to commercial cores, see for example this page at Altera for
some numbers on the new Nios II core(s):

Question/comment, for cores such as the OpenRisc, what configuration have you
been using? You should probably state if the given size includes cache
memories et al. This goes for all cores that are configurable in any way.

*VERY* interesting results. Good job! Gonna do some other cores as well..like some UARTs or FEC etc so people can estimate better..

Well...haven't tested it much this new core...waiting for upgrade license (o; Question/comment, for cores such as the OpenRisc, what configuration have you been using? You should probably state if the given size includes cache memories et al. This goes for all cores that are configurable in any way. Haven't done the OpenRisc testing yet..just some plain numbers there yet (o; Hmm..maybe I should open up a PHP forum as well? (o; best regards rick |
