Hi everybody,
I am working on some ip intergration tool and need ip-xact xml for different ip's as an example.I have searched ip-xact example formats for different ip's but gets a few.

Can i get ip-xact format for different ip's or for whole chip which consists of different ip's?
How a chip related information can be shown in ip-xact.

Regards
Pankaj

Hi Pankaj,
I don't think its too difficult to get info on IPXACT. Apart from the examples given in the link provided below, if you need any more info, please post.

I have some examples in my socgen project or you can look in the funbase_ip_library project.

IP-Xact is not a mature standard and what is happening is that everybody is adding their own extensions for their own usage. There is work ongoing to consolate these back into the standard but for now when you ask about IP-Xact you should also say who's version.

Hi John,

I'm involved in developing a tool that uses IP-XACT version 1.4 and I needed some example
xml files for components and designs for testing. We are using our own vendor extensions for the purpose.

I found a lot of ip-xact example files in the projects that you had mentioned.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi!

I have written a IP-XACT parser and generator in Python called ipyxact, and you can find some example files in the project repository. Check it out here https://www.librecores.org/olofk/ipyxact

I can also recommend a graphical open source tool called Kactus2 for working with IP-XACT. More info here https://www.librecores.org/epekkar/kactus2 Kactus2 has also presented at ORConf for the last three years so you can check out some of the presentations on the FOSSi Foundation youtube channel here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoyUg0i6RBVTrSDt2qlRMDA

If you are interested in my general opinion on IP-XACT, you can also read my blog post on the topic here http://olofkindgren.blogspot.com/2016/11/ip-xact-good-bad-and-outright-madness.html

Hope this helps,
