-------------- Free Dog Meeting Announcement ------------------- The Free EDA Users Group will meet this coming Wednesday, October 6th at MIT in Cambridge, MA (USA). This month we are pleased to feature Ales Hvezda, the founder and leader of the gEDA project, who will present: "An Overview of gEDA -- GPL Electronic Design Automation" Free Dog is an association of like-minded hackers and engineers interested in free and open EDA tools. We hold monthly meetings at MIT featuring informal networking, speakers, and camaraderie. Our goals are to learn more about CAD, engineering and scientific software, share ideas about our current projects, and -- most importantly -- have fun with like-minded people. We welcome new members and participants of all ages. Students are particularly welcome! See us on the web at: http://www.freeedaug.org/ ---------------- Meeting Information -------------------- Date: Wednesday, October 6th, 2004. Time: 7:00pm Location: MIT Room E51-145. MIT, 77 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA, USA. (This building is on the far eastern side of the MIT campus, about a ten minute walk from the main entrance, and about two minutes from the Kendall Square 'T' stop. The location is shown on this campus map: http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?zoom=level3&centerx=711439&centery=496145&oldzoom=level4&map.x=420&map.y=177 ---------------------- Food note --------------------------- Note Bene: MIT doesn't allow food or drink in its classrooms; we must obey their rules in order to keep the room. Since one can get very hungry while talking about software, I suggest that those interested meet at the Kendall Square ABP for a quick sandwich at 6:30pm before the meeting.
