Download problems / Incomplete IP Cores

Apparently the OpenCores server sometimes has a "hick-up" and
delivers incomplete archives. Apparently sometimes only *some*
files are incomplete.
I just wanted to point out that that is a technical problem and
NOT the way free IP cores are distributed.
If you feel you have download an IP Core that has missing/incomplete
files, please try downloading again. Always check the project
web site for any dependencies as well.
I got several personal email regarding the above problem, which
at first where very confusing ...
Regards,
rudi

Hello,
OpenCores server is sometime overloaded and the results are incomplete files, when using CVSGet method to get the sources from CVS. The solution is whether: - use regular CVS method using CVS or WinCVS or similar - use CVSGet method several times, when the load of the server falls down and the archives will be complete regards, Jernej Rudolf Usselmann wrote:

I guess the message here is use the web based CVSget at your
own risk. To be sure that you got the full design, use regular
cvs/winsvs ...
Opencores server maintainers, can you post the script that you
use to generate the archives ? Perhaps somebody who has time
and is knowledgeable, could improve the script in a way that it
would notify the user to try again later, instead of returning
incomplete archives. ?

I know about it,
is almost impossible to download a large
file correctly (> 10 MB) from opencores server.
I had to split the whole file into smaller ones
or explain where to find a mirror.
