I remember there was a discussion on opencores about embedded FPGA cores.
Xilinx and ST Microelectronics might have picked up something from it :)

I saw something like that a while ago, Actel has been
offering its embedded FPGA core "Vericore" since 2002
with various partners ... the major mobile phone
makers
... N.k.. is one of the various quiet users :-))
Let's see what's gonna happen then!!
