Hi all,
I am a student. Currently, I am studying aes-encryption, written by Tariq Bashir Ahmad. I tried to simulate the core with ModelSim SE 6.6. The simulation result is not as expectation: ---- "# Loading work.test # Loading work.aes_cipher_top # Loading work.aes_key_expand_128 # Loading work.aes_rcon # Loading work.aes_sbox # ** Warning: (vsim-3017) test_bench_top.v(88): [TFMPC] - Too few port connections. Expected 8, found 7. # Region: /test/uut # ** Warning: (vsim-3722) test_bench_top.v(88): [TFMPC] - Missing connection for port 'aes_en'. # 0 TEXT_OUT is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, DONE is x # # 75 TEXT_OUT is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, DONE is 0 # # 555 TEXT_OUT is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, DONE is 1 # # 585 TEXT_OUT is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, DONE is 0" ----- Please help me solve the problem.I am appreciated your help. |

The error messege make me feel that, it may be due to the lack of port "aes_en" in the instantiation the module "aes_cipher_top.v" in "test_bench_top.v" module. Please check it out.

I may be old fashioned but if I were trying to use this core then the first thing that I would do would be to look at line 88 in the file test_bench_top.v top see if it could shed some light on the 2 warning messages.
