Dear experts, kindly, I need to know is it possible to implement the OFDM system using the Altera DE1 FPGA board (EP2C20F484C7) as in the following details;
Tx consists of: 16-QAM mapper serial to parallel converter (shift register) multiplier of 256 complex numbers by 256 complex numbers (16 times) 16 block of IFFT operations of length N = 256 parallel to serial converter (shift register) Peak to average power calculations consists of log10 function Rx consists of: serial to parallel converter (shift register) one block of FFT operations of length N = 256 multiplier of 256 complex numbers by 256 complex numbers (one time) parallel to serial converter (shift register) 16-QAM de-mapper and an AWGN channel (Gaussian noise) between the Tx and the Rx Thank you very much. |

How many channels do you want to support in your design? DE1 does not have a very big FPGA,which means you can do this, but with limited number of channels.

Have you looked into this site:
http://warp.rice.edu/trac/wiki/OFDMReferenceDesign They have a full OFDM on a Virtex 4 FPGA. |
