Dear All,
It seems every day I get 3-5 emails from people asking me to
email than this or that project or file, because apparently
they can not download the files from OpenCores.
Usually I just hit the delete button. But now I am thinking
thats a bad service to those poor incapable souls. So please
in the future, anybody who emails me with a request to email
this or that, please include a Valid Credit Card Number as
well, as your full name and the Billing Address used for that
credit card. I will charge your card $250 USD for my services.
Of course if there are real technical issues with the OpenCores
servers, you should email "webmaster at opencores.org".
Similarly I get about 5 emails each day asking for help with
various projects, white papers, technical documents, etc. etc.
As much as I like to help everybody, I can't. I too have a job
and a family, and where I live the day too has only 24 hours.
Most questions are either addressed already in the FAQ, or have
been previously discussed in one of the discussion groups. If
you still feel you need individual, customized tech support,
please include your Credit Card info (as described above). Either
I myself or one of the other engineers working here will get
back to you and assist you with your problem. Your Credit Card
will be billed depending on the amount of work - we will notify
in advance of the estimated charges.
Best Regards,
rudi

Rudi,
Don't forget to save this email so you can reply to all the
requesters. I am certain that they will not see your original post!
Sorry for filling up your mailbox.
Cheers,
Daniel

Can I suggest that everyone adds a FILELIST to their projects. This will make it easier to determine whether or not the project has been correctly downloaded. Richard |
