Which software opens verilog file?

i am new to opencores and do not know how to open/view or edit verilog files. please guide me for the same Regards Sanju |

verilog files are just plain text files. just use any text editor you like. for better readability I would suggest to choose one that has some kind of syntax highlighting, e.g. notepad++ on windows or gedit for linux.

alright. I am a beginner. I have downloaded amber-arm project from site. Now how can i open that file, it is a compressed rar/zip file and contains some folders.

I already have app to decompress that rar file but did not know which software I need to loan those project file.

Great, you've extracted the files from the .rar archive.
Your original question about how to open Verilog files (these are the files with a .v extension) has already been answered by rozpruwacz: "verilog files are just plain text files. just use any text editor you like. for better readability I would suggest to choose one that has some kind of syntax highlighting, e.g. notepad++ on windows or gedit for linux." Is it some other type of file in the project that you are wondering how to open? If so, let us know which one and we may be able to help. But your first resource should probably be the documentation included in the archive: 'amber-user-guide.pdf'. |
