This new project on OpenCores caught my attention:
http://opencores.org/project,kvcordic The author says in the description: "IMPORTANT: Please go through the license agreement (CORDIC-EULA.txt) to ensure proper use of the CORDIC IP CORE." I browsed through the project files, and found the following (in doc/CORDIC-EULA.txt): "3. Non-Disclosure Licensee shall keep the Licensed Materials in confidence. Licensee shall not make the Licensed Materials available in any form to any person other than Licensee." As I understand this, I'm not allowed to redistribute the project, not even to openly discuss its contents. I deem this license totally inappropriate here and absolutely not compatible with the goals of the OpenCores platform. Hellwig |

Dear Hellwig,
thanks for bringing this into my attention. I will modify the license to be in accordance with OpenCores goals. I will just need a few more hours to deal with this issue. Thanks! |
