Looking for T80's "monitor.hex" (missing from package)
by Unknown on May 9, 2005
Not available!
The T80 project makes references to a "monitor.hex" file in the /sw
directory. This file is not in CVS, nor anywhere else I can find. I've
tried emailing the project owner "jesus/Daniel Wallner", which is a no
longer a valid opencores.org user. I've spent some time trying to
Google up the hex or the source, but no luck. Would anyone have the
monitor.hex file, or the monitor source for T80? Or know how to get in
contact with Danel Wallner?

I was trying to avoid bringing up both the VHDL and the monitor at
the same time (I'm somewhat new to VHDL, and I don't want to be chasing
monitor problems that are actually VHDL issues, and vice versa).

Sorry if this is a duplicate. I posted this same question via the
web form, which apparently requires approval, and after 72 hours it
hasn't shown up, so I thought I'd try it from a subscribed address.

Thanks,
--jc

I haven't got the code here, but if I remember correctly the test bench is more of a sanity test than anything useful. I think you will need to find a known working monitor program from elsewhere to play with. The core is pretty solid. (www.fpgaarcade.com has a slightly newer version) /MikeJ ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.C. Mike,

I took a look around the fpgaarcade.com site, looks nice. Is there
a ChangeLog for the improvements you've made to the T80 core?

Thanks,

No, only brief comments at the file top. You will need to diff the files to find out the exact changes - there aren't too many. Cheers, Mike. ----- Original Message ----- From: J.C.
