Does anyone have a very simple PD core written in VHDL
for a recent Vivado project implementation? I'm just looking for something very simple I can just load up and experiment with. (I dont want to use the proprietry cores) I dont need much in the way of I/O if anything at all. The older ISE based ones here have too many issues when I try to convert them (I'm still learning) and I'm never quite sure if it's me or the conversion when things dont work. TIA |

Hi @jazz2017,
Not sure exactly what you're looking to do but if it's simulating and understanding processor design, the Picoblaze open source mcu might be good start. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PicoBlaze It's an old Xilinx-developed core (device and IDE agnostic) so there should be plenty of information and examples regarding that core. Have fun, Jerry |
