is someone already worked on the VHDL vga core a while ago? I try to
configure it for a basic 640*480 60Hz refresh, but the sreen do
nothing, I think i miss something, but i don't know what. If someone
want to help me, i will tell more detail on where i am for the debug.

Sorry for my english.

Can you run it in a simulator and see if you're getting anything there? Also, I'd check your outputs on a scope. I don't know anything about this core, but those are the two places to start. Also, if you have some sort of DAC interface, I'd test that seperatly as well. Mike On 2/16/06, Sébastien Pelletier monsieur_mac at yahoo.ca> wrote:

Plenty of people used it, so it is working. Did you configure it correctly? Did you enable the core? No I know it is not configured the way it should be because I know the hardware ok, I tested it, and I did know the cores is already used and working. So for a 640x480, i have to set the pixel clock to 25,17 Mhz, the master clock have to be more than that, isn't it? Here is what i send to configure the core: (x"80000008",'1',x"5F2C0285","1111",'0'), --32 program horizontal timing register (htim) (640 visible pixels per line) (x"8000000c",'1',x"011D01E3","1111",'0'), -- program vertical timing register (vtim)(480 visible lines per frame) (x"80000010",'1',x"031F020C","1111",'0'), -- program horizontal/vertical length register (hvlen)(800x525 pixels) (x"80000014",'1',x"10000000","1111",'0'), -- program video base address 0 register (VBARa)(sdram) (x"8000001c",'1',x"10200000","1111",'0'), -- program color lookup table (CBAR)(sram) (x"80000000",'1',x"00000901","1111",'0'), -- program control register (ctrl)(enable video system) Is something wrong with this? Thanks for your help.
