The web page for Linux on OR1200 is sparse.

Is there activity on this project? I might be interested in helping.

yes there is. the web page is really outdated (i'll do something about
that). in short status is:
- linux 2.4.x is ported, tested in hardware, ethernet and all
works. (you can try it from the cvs). i should be quite stable, though i
didn't get any bugreports yet, so i asume not many people tried it ;)

- linux 2.6.x is also ported. also tested in hardware,
in quick testing i done all the things that work in 2.4.x work
here to. i didn't commit it into the cvs yet, i need to clean it
up a bit before. also a gcc-3.4.1 is needed to compile it... (some bugs in
the gcc-3.2.3). so in a month or so i'll upload latest gcc and linux-2.6.x
and the development will continue from there.
