hi!

i've just uploaded latest stable gcc with openrisc support to opencores
cvs. (or1k/gcc-3.4.2).

it fixes several bugs present in gcc-3.2.3, so if you are having
problems with any previous version please also try gcc-3.4.2.

best regards,
p.

Hi, Has any work been done to port the OpenRISC backend to gcc 4.0? If so, are the copyright assignments figured out to get this backend into GCC itself? -- Thanks, Jim http://www.student.cs.uwaterloo.ca/~ja2morri/ http://phython.blogspot.com http://open.nit.ca/wiki/?page=jim

Hi,

Has any work been done to port the OpenRISC backend to gcc 4.0? If so,
are the copyright assignments figured out to get this backend into GCC
itself?

There was no work done on gcc-4.0 (as far as i know). But anyhow can you
explain me what's with this 'copyright assignments'.

best regards,

For non-trivial source code/documentation contributions to most GNU software, e.g. GCC, binutils, a copyright assignment is required. The copyright assignment is a page to ensure the contributor actually can assign copyright. The copyright assignment is to allow the FSF to go after people who are in violation to the GPL. -- Thanks, Jim http://www.student.cs.uwaterloo.ca/~ja2morri/ http://phython.blogspot.com http://open.nit.ca/wiki/?page=jim
