Hi All,
Has the uClibc ported for the gcc 3.4.2? If not, is it going to be ported in the near future? Thanks, Balaji V. Iyer. |

HI All,
Thank you for the swift reply. To build this, I assume that I need to checkout or1k/linux/linux2.4 as well. I only have the older tutorial so I didn't find the same changes as I saw there. So pretty much this is what I am doing 1. copied the "DOT_CONFIG.OR32" to ".config" 2. Set where ever it says "LIBGCC=" to my path for libgcc.a 3. make oldconfig 4. Make dep 5. make all 6. went into ucLibC directory 7. changed "DOT_CONFIG.OR32" to ".config" 8. Updated the kernel source and DEVEL_PREFIX in the .config to the appropriate values (1st one is where the linux-2.4 is the 2nd one is where I wnat it to be installed, in my case /tmp/or32-uclinux). 9. Make all install 10. went to my b-gcc directory 11. removed my current config files and make files and reconfigured it. 12. make all install then I ran a test program with that has a main function and all it does is puts("Hello World."); but when I ran or32-uclinux-gcc test.c I get the following error: /tmp/or32-uclinux/lib/gcc/or32-uclinux/3.4.2/../../../../or32-uclinux/bin/ld: cannot open crt0.o: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanking You, Yours Sincerely, Balaji V. Iyer. Matjaz Breskvar said:

(i'm not sure why ld can't find them) best regards, p. |

Thank you Matjaz for your quick reply. I did what you suggested and now I
got a different set of errors. Here they are. /tmp/or32-uclinux/lib/gcc/or32-uclinux/3.4.2/../../../../or32-uclinux/bin/ld: warning: cannot find entry symbol _start; defaulting to 01000074 /tmp/or32-uclinux/lib/gcc/or32-uclinux/3.4.2/../../../../or32-uclinux/lib/libc.a(__uClibc_main.o): In function `___uClibc_start_main': __uClibc_main.o(.text+0xec): undefined reference to `___errno_location' __uClibc_main.o(.text+0xf0): undefined reference to `___errno_location' __uClibc_main.o(.text+0x10c): undefined reference to `___h_errno_location' __uClibc_main.o(.text+0x110): undefined reference to `___h_errno_location' I am not able to make sense of it. Any help is Appreciated. Thanking You, Yours Sincerely, Balaji V. Iyer. Matjaz Breskvar said:

Just extract these symbols from libc.a (using 'ar') and link with them explicitly... best regards, p. |
