I'm just looking thru the source for MinSoC. Just getting started so I just downloaded the latest .tar.gz from the project page.

The thing is I can't seem to find the uart or ethmac .v sources. From the .prj files it looks like they should be under rtl\verilog\ethmac|uart16550 in the build root.

I'm sure I must be missing something.

Can someone give guidance to a newbie?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich,

the sources for uart and Ethernet are not on MinSoC sources because they are not part of it. But they are linked to MinSoC using the Subversion svn:externals property. Hence, their sources are downloaded automatically by Subversion when you check out the project.

This is not the case when you download the tar.gz from the project page. In our wiki how tos, we guide the user to use Subversion when acquiring the required sources. So this shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks much.

It's building and bits loading into the device. Now to prove it is working...
