I checked out a fresh copy of orpsocv2 and ran make rtl-tests from the sim/run directory.

I see:

make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/johne/ocsvn/orpsocv2_cmp/sw/utils'
../../../drivers/or1200/crt0.o: In function `_start':
(.text+0x30): undefined reference to `main'
../../../drivers/or1200/crt0.o: In function `_start':
(.text+0x3c): undefined reference to `exit'
../../../drivers/or1200/crt0.o: In function `default_exception_handler':
(.text+0xb8): undefined reference to `default_exception_handler_c'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [or1200-simple.elf] Error 1

Any clues?

Hi John,

Which tool chain are you using?

Can you give us a dump of the whole run with V=1, eg.

make rtl-tests V=1

Dump file attached. I'm using or32-elf-1.0rc1-x86.

BTW:

I tried prepending a _ to the offending names and that does fix things. About half of the sims have problems that can be fixed by adding (or in some cases) subtracting the leading _ from the name.

Hi John

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this.

Are you still seeing the issue?

As far as I can tell it should work fine. The final compile looks like it's passing the C file with the main() function and the liborpsoc.a has everything it should (and so there shouldn't be a missing exit() function or C interrupt handler.)

The only thing I can suggest is using a tool chain built from the top of SVN tree.

Cheers

The biggest problem is a bunch of missing _'s prepended to names. Here is a diff between a fresh checkout and one that I fixed so that it ram.
