I am writing a blog on how to use ORPSoC. The latest blog entry is describing how to simulate the Atlys board using ISim.

This is good for all those who don't have access to modelsim. My main problem with ISIM is that it the crippled version that comes with webpack is incredibly slow and doesn't seem to support VPI, but for now it's the only cost-free way to simulate the closed-source memory controller.
You might want to check out my ISIM simulation support for ORPSoCv3 too that I wrote a few weeks ago if you are looking to automate the process. I actually used the Atlys board as a reference case. -- Olof Kindgren ______________________________________________ ORSoC Website: www.orsoc.se Email: olof.kindgren@orsoc.se ______________________________________________ FPGA, ASIC, DSP - embedded SoC design |

I have fixed the bootup sequence by adding boot code in the rom.v file and preloaded the DDR2 memory. My simulation now runs successfully.
