Hi all,
I am new in this forum and I want to know if the OR1K processor supports the little endian??

Thx,
Moktar.

Hi Moktar,

The OpenRISC 1000 architecture specification allows for both little-endian and bit-endian implementations.

The only implementation currently available, the OR1200, is a big-endian implementation. Various people have experimented with little-endian versions, but they aren't in the OpenCores repository.

The GNU tool chain is currently only big-endian. There is some little-endian support in binutils, but as far as I am aware it has never been tested.

HTH

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for your reply.
I used the simulator OVPsim to simulate the OR1K processor.
I also tried to change the endianness but I can not find a solution.

Thx,
Mokhtar.
