Hi,
I coupled a SystemC model to the or1ksim as described in the appnote 1 of Embecosm. Then I wrote some C code to communicate with this model.Up to this all worked fine. But now I need to debug the c code. I modified the config or1ksim config file like this: section debug enabled = 1 rsp_enabled = 1 rsp_port = 50001 end then I start the project. On console I get the SystemC output: SystemC 2.2.0 --- Dec 7 2011 10:00:50 Copyright (c) 1996-2006 by all Contributors ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Seeding random generator with value 0x31cafa99 and then it seems to stop. Now I try to connect with or32-elf-gdb: (gdb) file mycode Reading symbols from mycode...done. (gdb) target remote :50001 :50001: Connection timed out. Nmap gives me the following: nmap localhost -p 50001 Starting Nmap 5.21 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2012-07-06 10:33 CEST Nmap scan report for localhost (127.0.0.1) Host is up (0.000036s latency). PORT STATE SERVICE 50001/tcp closed unknown Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.05 seconds As it seems the rsp server is not running. Is there anything else I have to do? |

Hi,
I tried the same config and binary from commandline with sim
and here debug connection is started.
I tried to pass the --srv== argument to the library but this also has no effect.
Do I need to call a function of the or1ksim to activate debugging?

Hi,
as I found out debugging of program files isn't possible through RSP yet. Wiki says this is planed for 0.5.2. For all of you that don't want to wait until 0.5.2 is released.. here is my solution. It's a quick 'n dirty solution but worked for my purposes.
gdblib.patch (1 kb)
