Hello,

I just want to know if it's possible to embedd linux with minSoc (based on Openrisc). Maybe it's better to start with ORPsoc directly but I read in the web that Openrisc can take big amount of size in target. Actually I have de2-115 board with altera cyclone IV.

Thanks for your advise

If you have a de2-115, it looks like your JTAG cable (a USB-Blaster) is built in to the board, and cannot be connected to standard I/O pins of the FPGA. This being the case, you may prefer minsoc, which uses the advanced debug interface - this supports JTAG debugging on your system. ORPSOC, as far as I know, does not include support for this (unless it's been added?).
