Linux console without USB->Serial Adapter: working on de0-nano
Hi, We(our group) developed a new core that allows uart communication through USB cable. We adapted the module uart16550 to enable "altera's jtag atlantic interface" We called this module uart16550_jtag. We use nios2-terminal to comminicate with linux. We included this module in an fork of orpsoc-cores To get this working see the instructions in the github repo: https://github.com/ismaia/orpsoc-cores |

Hi!
Thanks for sharing. This is great. I tried to do something similar with the built-in UART in adv_debug_sys, but that fails as soon as Linux enables interrupts. I'll take a closer look at your stuff when I have more time //Olof |
