Hello everyone, I'm searching for an open WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) standard. Up till now I couldn't find even one proposal in that direction. Please let me now if you are aware of a certain task force which is currently handling this. If not, is OpenCores then the way to start something like this? To my knowledge it is a growing market/technology and I think it would be great that OpenCores as such can participate in this story.

I have no strict requirements on the implementation. It is just an area which is gaining some interest of me and it is a pitty that I see currently no activity on this specific topic.

I believe there is an IETF group working on an open standard based on ZigBee (and using IP addressing), but I don't know the details or the standard number offhand.
