UCLA Extension is building an embedded systems program for professionals who want to expand their career into this area. To this end, in the winter quarter they are offering a class called Using FPGAs in Embedded Systems. This new course provides an introduction to using Verilog to model and test logic that is implemented on Xilinx FPGAs. Learn to use Modelsim to simulate your RTL and Post Place and Route designs, as well as Xilinx ISE to synthesize, place, route, and download your designs to a Xilinx Spartan 3 FPGA board. Each student is required to purchase a Nexsys-2 FPGA board from Digilent Inc. This is the target platform for the course.

PREREQUISITE:
A good working knowledge of logic and computers.

This is a live and in person course. You must be able to be at UCLA for the class.
