sir, iwant to multiply 0.46 *3,for that i represent 0.46 into ieee 754 format with std_logic_vector (31 downto 0) and 3 (011) then convertinf into integer them,i multiply them. but i dont get the exact o/p. idon't use floating multiplier bcoz they consume a lot of area in fpga.how do i solve my problem.plz suggest.
