Hello guys,
I'm working on another clone of ZX Spectrum (this is diploma thesis). I'm using T80 core and basic Spectrum is "nearly" done. But my design needs to be more sophisticated. I'm planning to add another 8-bit MCU (CPU) for communication with PC, onboard memory (outside FPGA) and maybe Spectrum control. Next I need a memory controller with DDR SDRAM, SDRAM and SRAM support. And finally I need video decoder which can make from YUV format, digital format. I think I need TMDS signals on output, I don't know, I didn't make survey in this case yet. So, now I need some recommendations of IP cores here. IP cores should be area optimized, WISHBONE compliant and target (device) independant (it should work on Altera too) except video decoder. Notes: 1. MCU should have an assembler at least, I have experience with PicoBlaze, MicroBlaze and T80 of course, so something like that would be nice. 2. I saw this memory controller core http://opencores.com/project,mem_ctrl and I'd like to know if there is DDR support or if there is better core. 3. Don't care if it is VHDL or Verilog, not BlueSpec please 4. I don't need VGA core Thanks for recommendations, sorry for English and for my supervisor (contributor):"Yeah, its working, but its a buggy" |
