Hello everyone!
some of you would know to give me some suggestions on how to solve the following problem in VHDL: The module will be able to detect "errors" according to a predefined current profile and not a reference value. Such profiles can be characterized by a set of ten current values characterized by their amplitude and time elapsed since the previous value. The aim of the current profile is to define the maximum current variation allowed. The module is continuously monitoring the slope of the output current. The "error" protection is triggered whenever the measured current consumption variation exceeds the predefined profile. This can be achieved by comparing the measured current slope with the maximum slope from the profile. The FPGA will record the current image measurements in a 128-Mbytes circular buffer. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
