hi folks i don't know if you've seen this http://lkcl.net/articles/fsf_endorseable_processor.html i'm looking for creative ways to reduce the risk of this new processor's development, and to meet the very tight deadline.
the existing proprietary core which we've selected has an existing range of low-speed peripherals such as USB2, I2S, SD/MMC and so on, so these parts do not need to be worked on. however a serious upgrade is needed: faster peripherals. in the transition to high-speed peripherals (USB3, SATA3, Gigabit Ethernet) we came up with the idea of creating a separate "high-speed peripherals chip" as a stand-alone desirable product with a USB3-client interface. in effect this chip would be a combination of a TI TUSB9261, an Asix AX88179, an AC97 audio interface and a few more pieces as well. my question to the general opencores community is, therefore: is anyone interested to band together to create this peripheral chip as a stand-alone saleable product? l. |

How do you plan to create the chip? (manufacturing wise)
