After i download, and try to decompressed it as below: $ tar -jxf OpenRISC_Ubuntu_2011-12-15.vdi.bz2 tar: This does not look like a tar archive tar: Skipping to next header tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors and its md5sum is: $ md5sum OpenRISC_Ubuntu_2011-12-15.vdi.bz2 6c817a7d0b02e672cdaaa8a309b3f3a9 OpenRISC_Ubuntu_2011-12-15.vdi.bz2 What's the md5sum of Ubuntu VirtualBox-image you downloaded? Is there something wrong with me? |

Hi.
You're doing it wrong: > tar -jxf OpenRISC_Ubuntu_2011-12-15.vdi.bz2 it's not TAR at all, it's just a BZIP'ed virtual box disk image. So, just try $ bzip2 -d OpenRISC_Ubuntu_2011-12-15.vdi.bz2 And you'll get uncompressed disk image OpenRISC_Ubuntu_2011-12-15.vdi that you can then connect as a virtual disk. |
