We had the pleasure to meet Javier Serrano from CERN who shared with us his reasoning and rationale behind the development of the next revision of the CERN OHL (Open Hardware Licence) v2.

The draft is available here: https://www.ohwr.org/projects/cernohl/wiki/cern-ohl-v2-draft
with some very instructive legal thoughts in "engineers comprehensible" terms.

They are seeking for initial feedback!
What do you think about it?
Would you consider using it to license your projects?

The CERN-OHL-L license is obsolete. Please add an option for CERN-OHL-W on OpenCores.

Why are you recommending LGPL license and not CERN license?

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. Yes I prefer the CERN license because it is designed for hardware. And, yes, I am using it in my project (named ForwardCom).
