Hye people,
I've been working on a simple 32/33 pci target card for a couple of weeks now, and I just can't get it to work. I'm using an Altera Max II dev. board, and the quartus II software. All I get are a whole bunce of warnings (1055), most of them about registers stuck to ground or vcc, but this might have something to do with the fact that I haven't connected my wbm/wbs to something. I have however defaulted those signals to inactive (0). When I try to boot the device, my pc just hangs. I've set the tsu and tco timing constraints like this: tco: from> pci_bridge32:u1|pci_io_mux:pci_io_mux|pci_out_reg:ad_iob0|dat_out~reg0 to> AD0 value> 11ns tsu: from> AD0 to> pci_bridge32:u1|pci_in_reg:input_register|pci_ad_reg_out[0]~reg0 value> 7ns and so on.. Isn't the configspace suppose to be reachable even without the backend connected? I'd be happy just to see the card recognized by the bios while booting! Can someone give me a brief explanation about the possible problem here? btw: i'm not an expert on pci and/or vhdl, guess advanced is more appropriate.. Kind regards, O. v.d.
