Max speed?

Hi,
I am using the PCI-Bridge configured as guest in a Xilinx FPGA. The Wishbone Slave Unit of the PCI-Bridge core reads data from the memory of the computer, this is DMA. The maximum speed I am getting is about 30 Mbit/s. When doing burst reads cycles with the signals bte and cti the speed is even less. I observe I get short bursts, about 4 dwords, and lots of retrys. Any advice or suggestions on how to speed up the transfers would be appreciated. Thanks, Robert |
