simple pci card with rom
by Unknown on Aug 22, 2006
Not available!
Hi all I'm a student, and I am looking for the most simple design for making a pci card that would include a "bios" rom. Does any one have any clue about making one? (the cheaper, the better ;) ) The card would just have a rom containing a bios, and if possible a second rom readable and writable to keep settings set by the bios rom itself ;) thanks a lot Benoit -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Benoit I think a simple pci target is enough for you, with a cpld. I designed something similar before, with lattice's xpld 5512 device, and the functions include: pci target, configuration regs, boot rom and ata-pio0 interface. what info you want? you can read the pci specification, and xilinx's pci related presentation, and the pci reference design on latticesemi's web site. Huang thanks for the answer. If you could send me the project you designed, I would be very happy.
I'm sorry but I'm a little lost with all of the possibilities and
differents chips that exists.

Thanks

Benoit
