Hi Everyone!
I've got a question, and i hope it's not an offtopic. Does anybody by accident has the Compaq PCI core source lying around on his/her HDD? I've have the Opencore PCI core, but I'm also required to inspect any other free cores, if possible. I'm asking here, cause Compaq is nowhere around anymore (actually it was bought by HP, but they have nothing on this) and I hope some of You have been around in the PCI core "business" for quite a long time. Also Google didn't help me out on this one? Any ideas are welcome! Thank You! P. Zoltan |

I think the thing you are looking for
is Compact PCI (cPCI), not Compaq.

Hi.
I looked at Compact PCI, but it's not actually what I'm looking for. I'm
definitely sure it was Compaq. See link:

In this letter You will find a dead link. A wish to get what was once there.
However thanx for Your reply.

If I recalling correctly, that was a project that was
started at Digital Equipment Corp before the company
was sold to Compaq. I don't remember if the core
itself was available. I'm sure the project was long
dead before Compaq was sold to HP.

Search for Hewlet-Pacard on this page:
http://www.pcisig.com/specifications/pcix_20/developers/
It has contact information for access to the core.
The link is dead, but you can look at the archived versions at:

That should have been to search for Hewlett-Packard.

Thank You for your answers.
Actually I've searched the HP site too, but without any results. The web archive was new to me! WOW! I will browse it next time, if i need anything. However the ZIP file is what actually I'm looking for, and I hoped that someone downloaded it back then, and would share it with me... Best Regards, P. Zoltan
