A good starting point would be to read the USB specification. You can download the USB specification for free from www.usb.org Regards, rudi ======================================================== ASICS.ws ::: Solutions for your ASIC/FPGA needs ::: ..............::: FPGAs * Full Custom ICs * IP Cores ::: FREE IP Cores -> http://www.asics.ws/

Three exellent books on USB are: * "USB Complete" Jan Axelson, Lakeview Research, http://www.lvr.com * "USB Design by Example", John Hyde, Intel Press * "Universal Serial Bus System Architecture", Don Anderson, MindShare The first two are excellent general USB references with lots of good implementation examples. Be sure and check out Jan's web site. The third is an excellent detailed reference on how USB works but is very thin on implementation examples. Marc Reinig System Solutions
