Multithreading and resource locking support in Linux USBdevice stack-USB device firmware
by Unknown on Oct 24, 2006
Not available!
Hi, The controller driver is working as a Linux module. In theory, you can freely apply multithreading and resource locking in a Linux module. Note that you must use the multithreading and locking API provided by Linux kernel. Wanted to know if the features of multithreading and resource locking are available with the USB device firmware code that is developed through the ARM Integrated Environment - Code Warrior(if I am not mistaken). The Linux USB Device Stack is a three layered architecture with the Peripheral controller driver, gadget driver and the upper level drivers. Wanted to know if multithreading and resource locking feature is available with the linux periphreal controller driver or the same can be enhanced to support the same. Thanks, Isha. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stay in the know. Pulse on the new Yahoo.com.
