There has been some discussion on IRC about how we handle the engineering development of OpenRISC as the project gets bigger. In particular, how do we make it easier for new users to get involved, whilst also ensuring high quality.

There is a new guide for developers on the Wiki to start this discussion. In particular this introduces the concept of project maintainers to act as champions for particular components and ensure the quality of code committed to SVN and git.

Please make your views known, either in discussion here, through IRC (freenode.net, channel #opencores) or by contributing to the new pages on the Wiki.

We look forward to hearing your views.

Jeremy
